The
setting up of a communication network between the various universities
within the European area is recommended. The building of the
European area will only become effective by multiplying the meetings
and discussions with the universities of the other European countries.
The conclusions drawn from the semina entittled "Building of the
European area in Higher Education : European point of view", which took
place in January 2004, have initiated the current project of
establishing links between computer-science university-teachers and
industrials in order to respond to the need for a communication network.
Due to the BOLOGNA PROCESS, problems have been raised by setting up the
following points : tutorships, diploma supplements, the diploma quality
chart, the accreditation and habilitaion, individual education schemes,
new technologies for communication and information, the homogenisation
of teaching.
Since some French, German, Belgian and Italian universities have been
implementing the Bologna Process since 2000, they should be able to
inform us about the solutions they have found to solve the
above-mentioned difficulties. This meeting greatly interests
universities as well as industries since it is the interface between
the setting up tf the Bologna Process and the building of the
European Area in Computer Science research.
Montpellier II University has 10 ERASMUS partners and projects to
enlarge its partnership to other universities.
